BackBox is a GNU/Linux distribution based on Ubuntu. It has been developed to perform penetration tests and security assessments. Designed to be fast, easy to use and provide a minimal yet complete desktop environment, thanks to its own software repositories, always being updated to the latest stable version of the most used and best known ethical hacking tools.

Getting started

This is our wiki and we hope you will find these pages useful. BackBox Linux is an Open Source community driven project, therefore you are welcome to help us, support, maintain and update the documentation.

You will be able to create new entries after creating an account by registration form. Your content will be published upon staff revision and approval.

The wiki is organized in categories and tools as well, everything you need to navigate through the menu that is on the sidebar panel.
